Yotvata is one of the leading a dairy-products brand in Israel. The client wished to have a fun and engaging game that would fit various ages.
The result was a maze game, in which the user helps to get the Yotvata Cow out of the Cowshed.
The game had 100 levels, every 10 levels had their own different surrounding. The user had to complete a level in order to unlock the next one. As a tribute to Super Mario games, the world were numbered on the left and the current level on the right (1-1, 1-2, 1-3… etc.).
To prevent user frustration in case of difficult levels, we came up with a viral idea: “Pass Mechanism”. If you’re stuck on a level, simply send an invitation to a friend. Once the friend installed the application, the user was awarded a “Free Pass” to the next level (but no score).
To maintain a long term engagement we used the “3 Stars” system, which allows the users to relay levels and improve their scores.
The best players of the game won real prises and were filmed in a short video that was later published on the brand’s page.
